Locks of Sandwich FOR SALE After an un-interrupted run of trading since 1965 beginning in Wingham as a Cycle/Electrical/Petrol retailer then solely in Sandwich from 1977 (with a period in between of running both premises), Arthur and Eileen have finally decided it is time to call it a day. They would be sad to see the loss of the Cycle business in Sandwich and have a strong desire to remain living above (and behind) the shop and for that reason are looking to find someone younger and more enthusiastic to purchase the name, stock and goodwill and to lease the shop. At this time they can only reflect on their own brave jump from the security and safety of full time employment in the burgeoning computer industry (ICT) to take on the harder yet more rewarding responsibility of running their own business. They have never regretted that jump, and now look to the next chapter to be written by similarly driven would be shopkeepers who want to strike out on their own and take control of their own destiny.
